JAZZIZ reviews
The Jazziz review is available to read online. In their current issue, they turn their ears towards the Trans-Atlantic collective of musicians from New York (NY), Norway (N), and Denmark (DK) known as NYNDK. NYNDK is Ole Mathisen (saxophones and clarinet), Chris Washburne (trombone), Soren Moller (piano), and Per Mathisen (bass). Their sound is best described as a combination of refined Scandinavian cool with aggressive New York heat spiced with a progressive postmodern sensibility.
Jazziz says, "certainly there is much that is challenging, poignant, and well worth hearing." For the extended version, skip to page 16. Read the magazine here

Burning originals feature the drummers led by Pedrito Martinez and the young piano giant Axel Tosca Laugart, who has to be heard to be believed. Jazz fans, World Music aficionados, and anyone who loves to groove-Timbasa will move your soul-your mind-your feet!

For Fans of Tito Puenté...
In honor of the 10th anniversary of Tito Puenté's passing, we'd like to turn your attention to Chris Washburne and the SYOTOS Band's tribute CD to him,"El Otro Lado - The Other Side."
